Auction Madness 2008
Brief Summary:

We had a very successful event again this year!  The organization netted $30,000, and this included $7,000 in scholarship funds raised for the “Irv Eisenberg Scholarship Fund”, named in honor of our beloved senior coach and longtime colleague.

We enjoyed a spectacular performance of Irish fiddle and dance by the Gothard Sisters, Greta, Willow and Solana, all CMM violin students.  Emily Cole was our featured speaker, as a representative of the alumni. Emily just received her B.A. at University of Texas at Austin as a violin major..

We also enjoyed hearing music by a string trio including Emily on violin, Rose Hashimoto, violist, and Ariana Nelson, cellist.   Rose, another longtime alumna of CMM, just received her B.A. in viola from the Juilliard School.   Ariana, 15, is a current student of CMM, and first place winner of the cello division of Washington Music Educator’s “Solo and Ensemble” Contest .

The Silent Auction was packed full of wonderful, affordable items and services. After that was completed, the guests enjoyed a lovely dinner during the fast-paced Live Auction under the baton of auctioneer Laura Michalek. This was interspersed with charming commentary from our guest host and KING-FM radio personality Sean MacLean.

A good time was had by all, and thanks to the many who helped to make this a very successful endeavor!
